50+ Kids Train Like Superheroes

On Wednesday, July 31st, Wellbeats hosted its first-ever Superhero Training Camp in St. Louis Park, MN, giving 50+ kids an opportunity to train like superheroes. The event was designed for kids to learn the basics of movement and physical fitness and help build lasting, healthy habits. In fact, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommends school-aged children should aim for at least 1 hour of moderate-to-vigorous activity per day.

The training camp included a strength and endurance-based obstacle course with several “superhero” power stations like speed, power, and flexibility, and included face-painting, prizes and giveaways, and a chance to meet real-life superheroes: the St. Louis Park Fire Department!

The event was held at Minnekahda Vista Park in St. Louis Park, MN. Kids received “Wellbeats” superhero capes, temporary tattoos, and other fun Wellbeats swag.

In addition to learning new ways to move and stay active, participants had the chance to help others by donating new and gently-used tennis shoes to Soles4Souls. The non-profit organization provides relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. To date, Soels4Souls has provided over 35 million pairs of shoes in 127 countries.
