International Men’s Health Week is here! This annual celebration encourages men and boys to prioritize their health. This year, you’re invited to celebrate International Men’s Health Week with Wellbeats.
Celebrated each year during the week leading up to and including Father’s Day, International Men’s Health Week is designed to heighten the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys. The goal is to increase awareness of male health issues on a global level and to encourage institutions to develop health policies and services that meet the specific needs of men, boys, and their families. This week gives health care providers, public policy makers, media, and individuals an opportunity to encourage men and boys to seek regular medical advice and early treatment for disease and injury.
International Men’s Health Week is sponsored by the Men’s Health Network, a national non-profit organization whose mission is to reach men and their families with health awareness messages where they live, work, pray, and play. Join the Men’s Health Network in celebrating International Men’s Health Week June 13-19, 2022.
The Men’s Health Forum offered five ways to wellbeing, listing five things that can make a big difference to someone’s sense of wellbeing. Wellbeats is here to help.
Play a class with others in real-time without ever leaving your home! It’s now easier than ever to connect with your fellow Wellbeats members and play classes together—no matter where you are. Schedule a Wellbeats class and invite others to join you. You can chat, share encouraging messages, and celebrate progress with each other before, during, or after the class by selecting the group chat icon.
Take part in regular physical activity! With fitness classes including yoga, HIIT, strength training, running, walking, cycling, circuits, kickboxing, dancing, work breaks, stretching, and injury prevention, Wellbeats has something for everyone regardless of age, interest, ability, or situation.
Continuing to learn throughout life can enhance your wellbeing. Wellbeats instructors take an educational, relatable approach to meet members where they’re at. From introductory classes on strength training, mindful eating, meditation, and more to cooking demonstrations and wellbeing tips, classes are designed to instill healthy habits while building skills.
Participate in social and community life by volunteering for a charity or community group, visiting an elderly relative or neighbor, doing a favor for someone, or simply smiling and saying thank-you. Wellbeats classes like Forgiveness Meditation and Loving-Kindness Meditation can help cultivate a mindset to deepen your relationships.
Being aware of what is taking place in the present can make a difference in your sense of wellbeing. Wellbeats’ mindfulness collection includes meditation and restorative yoga classes designed to improve self-awareness and gratitude, establish inner peace and acceptance, and reduce stress by connecting the mind and body.
