Today is National Stress Awareness Day, designed to give you 24 hours of reinforcing the fact that you’re not doing yourself a favor by stressing about situations you can’t control. We couldn’t agree more, and it’s one reason why we offer mental health resources.
To help our members destress, regain their calm, or deal with more serious mental health issues, Wellbeats provides a wide variety of mindfulness and meditation classes along with mental health programs through a new partnership with Healbright.
Wellbeats’ mindfulness and meditation classes promote the mind-body connection, helping you to calm the mind, bring awareness to the present moment, and build resilience into your every day through meditation, breath, and movement.
Instructors include Chance, a registered yoga teacher; Nicole, a yoga teacher, life coach, and self-care advocate; Greta, a Reiki Master, and certified yoga and meditation instructor; and Maya, a registered yoga teacher.
Whatever your mood you can find a class that interests you. If you only have a few minutes, try Clear Your Mind (3 min.) or Mood Boost (1 min.). There are also many other options from 1-35 minutes.
Wellbeats recently announced a new partnership with mental wellness provider Healbright to bundle its innovative mental wellness programming into our library of more than 1,000 fitness, nutrition, and mindfulness classes.
Healbright focuses on helping people find more happiness, meaning, stress reduction, and better relationships so they can stay healthy and avoid serious mental and physical illness.
According to the International Stress Management Association, which founded Stress Awareness Day, chronic stress, that is, failure to deal with stress for a long time and remaining in a prolonged and constant feeling of stress can lead to life-threatening problems. From hypertension to heart diseases, decreased immunity, loss of sociability, and decreased mental vitality, stress is not to be taken lightly!
To break the chain reaction, National Stress Awareness Day is a day-long event to take a deep breath and embrace peace.
It reminds individuals and companies that stress management is fundamental to optimal performance.
