Looking for a fun summer activity for kids? Wellbeats, a provider of on-demand, virtual fitness, will host a free public event to help children build strength and endurance during the inaugural Wellbeats “Train Like a Superhero” kids event on Wednesday, July 31.
The first 50 attendees will receive a superhero cape, and participants may come dressed as their favorite superheroes. In addition to teaching kids about fitness, the event will include a tennis shoe drive to benefit Soles4Souls, a nonprofit that donates tennis shoes and clothing to people in need around the world.
The camp will be 11 a.m. to noon at the Minikahda Vista Park soccer field and outdoor shelter.
Activities will include an obstacle course aimed at promoting strength and endurance, face painting, prizes and giveaways, snacks and refreshments and a tennis shoe drive. Kids will also have the chance to meet real-life superheroes: firefighters from the St. Louis Park Fire Department!
Children ages 4-10 may attend with an accompanying adult.
